                             What Is Food License?

Food Licensing & Registration System (FLRS) is an online application launched by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India to facilitate Food Business Operators (FBO) in India to apply for License/Registration Certificate and track their applications during the course of processing.


There are three different types of FSSAI registration, the required time for FSSAI license registration differs.

      1. The basic FSSAI license will be delivered in 7 working days.

      2. State license and Central license will be provided in 30 days.
    
      3. Basic Registration.
   
   State FSSAI license - Turnover Rs. 12 lakhs to 20 crore per annum  

   Central FSSAI license- Turn over Rs. 20 Crore or more or business operations in more than one
                                          State.
   
   Basic Registration-  This Is Required For small Businesses or startup which have an annual 
                                     turnover below Rs. 12 Lakh.

 Documents Required For Food License -

  • Aadhar Card Of the Owner.
  • PAN Card Of The Owner.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Water Bill, Electricity Bill, Gas Bill.
  • CA declaration( If your Turnover Is 18 or 19 crores).
  • Declaration Form.
  • Form A.  
Benefits of FSSAI license-

FSSAI license certifies that food is tested and the hygiene, sanitary and safety requirements as set by the government of India have been followed by the business entity.

MCA to introduce the "SPICe+" form to replace the existing SPICe form.  Stakeholders may please note that as part of the Government of India’s Ease of Doing Business initiative , the Ministry of Corporate Affairs would be shortly notifying   replacing the existing SPICe form to SPICe+ form SPICe+   would be an integrated Web form offering multiple services  name reservation, incorporation, DIN allotment, mandatory issue of PAN, TAN, EPFO, etc. SPICe+   web form, RUN shall be applicable only for the change of name of existing companies.
